Hi hot cute girly and boy geeks of mine. I’m blushing; I have been nominated and awarded not one, but two awards. (Sorry I forgot about the tell me about yourself award) Ahhh, thanks! And a special thank you to my galpal and now co-blogger Emily Guido, who keeps awarding me! I can’t thank you enough Emily!
I will do a 2 in 1 blog about this; otherwise I’ll keep spamming everyone about all my awards 😉
For the Tell me about yourself award, here are the rules:
1. Thank the person that nominated you and link back to their blog.
2. Tell the world 7 things about yourself that you have not shared, yet.
3. Nominate 7 fellow bloggers and let them know.
And for the Beautiful Blogger award, here are the rules:
Thank and Link-back to your nominator!
Nominate 7, 6, or fewer (or more) other blogs that you enjoy to receive this award as well!
Post a comment on each of your nominees’ blogs with a link to your page for the details!
Paste the Award image somewhere on your blog, if so desired!
And, continue blogging all your beautiful thoughts, suggestions, and musings. More readers are coming!
Because I don’t follow that many blogs, I nominate the following bloggers for both awards:
Emily Guido, http://emilyguido.com/ awesome writer, awesome gal pal! I love her! She just wrote her first book Charmeine and her second book is coming this month! Make sure to follow her and check out her blog! And be sure to be on the lookout for her personal blog right here on hotcutegirlygeek! (Yes I know she has been nominated before, but can’t I return the favor? It’s nowhere in the rules you can’t nominate the nominator again. She is just awesome!)
And now for yet another 7 things I didn’t tell you before. You know it’s hard to come up with this kinda stuff, lol.
I want to learn how to speak Russian. I have a thing for languages and I think it’s just cool. But I’m still looking for a tutor, so if you know any???
I have 2 tattoos, a piercing in my tongue, 9 piercings in my ears and a third tattoo on its way.
I love musicals. I don’t care what kind. Les Miserable, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Super Star, We Will Rock you, Cats, Chicago, Wicked, Joseph and the amazing Technicolor dreamcoat, you name it and I have seen it. I also like to listen to their music on my mp-3
I want to be a mum someday. I love children, but haven’t found the right guy yet.
I don’t have a car, or a driver’s license, although I plan to get one, someday. I do own 2 bikes and do my traveling by public transportation.
You can wake me at any time for chocolate.
I hate shopping. Don’t get me wrong, I love to spend money, but I find shopping a necessary evil! Online shopping is heaven for me.
So thanks again everyone for following me on my blog, twitter, facebook, you name it. Thanks for all the support!
Hi hot cute girly (and boy) geeks of mine. I have been nominated and awarded for yet another blog award. This time the Kreativ Blogger Award! I love Emily for this. She keeps nominating me for these awards! So thank you Emily, you rock and I love you! And you should all go to her blog, follow her and buy her book!!! http://emilyguido.com/
Thank my nominator.
Provide a link to his/her blog.
List 7 things readers might find interesting about me.
And nominate 7 others!
So I thanked my nominator and provided a link to her blog, so now we get 7 interesting (I hope) things about me:
I detest cold and wet weather. I just adore the sun and I wish I lived somewhere warmer. Like 30°C all day long. Hmm, maybe I should move to Greece or something.
I am a huge gadget geek. I love multimedia gadgets and a huge portion of my income goes there. Like a really good smart phone, laptop, e-reader, and the best thing ever? A multimedia box, which allows me to watch my programs I downloaded on TV instead of my laptop.
My cat Sir James is named after a cat in a children’s book. I don’t think it is translated in English, but it’s a book by Eddy C. Bertin and called “de dertiende nacht” or in English the 13th night. And I met him a couple of times to!
I collect autographs from vampire novelists. I have a personal signed picture of Anne Rice, an autographed bookmark from Charlene Harris and I’m waiting for an autographed bookmark from Emily Guido, it’s in snail mail at the moment. I also have a couple of autographed children’s books from Dutch vampire writers.
I speak 5 languages: Dutch, English, French, German and Dutch sign language. And I know a couple of words in other languages as well: Spanish, Russian, and Chinese. But I don’t know enough to actually speak the language. Although I understand Spanish.
I’m afraid of flying, spiders and small spaces. Although I do fly and go into elevators, I just really really don’t like it. And that’s an understatement.
I own over 600 books (and still counting), and when I bought my house, a criteria was that I had enough space to display all of my books.
Hi hot cute girly (and boy) geeks of mine. I have been nominated and win the Versatile Blogger Award!! And I have to thank my gal pal Emily Guido to thank for it. She is an awesome new vampire novelist who wrote and awesome first book called Charmeine and you have to follow her!!! I use a lot of awesome don’t I. But it is so awesome!!! Ok, ok enough.
7 things about me:
Although I love all thinks geeky, I have a secret passion for cheerleader movies. I know, it’s not geeky, but I just love them. The perky cheerleaders, the nasty bitch fighting and all ends well. My favorite? Bring it on.
My day job. I am a social worker who works with hard drugs addicts and homeless people. Although it’s a hard job, I really like it and it is truly my passion.
I want to be a writer some day. I write stories since I was about 10 years of age, all about vampires and I hope someday to write my own book. The story is there, but now I have to put it in writing.
I love to cook and bake. I don’t cook often since I live alone, but I can cook almost anything. Italian from scratch (including making the pasta), Indonesian, you name it. I also like to bake cakes, cupcakes, pies, brownies, anything sweet.
I’m really clumsy, I trip over my own feet, bump in things, fall down, a lot. And I end up in the hospital ER a lot because of it, tearing ligaments and stuff, but somehow, I never break a thing. And my friends find it hilarious.
I participated in gishwhes, Google it!
I used to have pet rats, named after the characters of Buffy the Vampire slayer
And here are my 15 nominees:
Emily Guido, http://emilyguido.com/ awesome writer, awesome gal pal! I love her! She just wrote her first book Charmeine and her second book is coming this month! Make sure to follow her and check out her blog!
