YouTube Sunday!!!

Hi my hot cute girly and boy geeks, how are you this fine Sunday, or rather the last Sunday of 2012? How are you spending it? Same as ever or are you doing something special. Me? I’m cooking in between blogging and other stuff. I have some friends coming over on New Year’s Eve and I am making Indonesian food. Which means I’ll spend 3 days in the kitchen, cook massive amounts of food, smell of onions and garlic for days, no matter how many times you shower or wash your hands, almost get carpal tunnel syndrome for all the cutting and chopping an dicing, but when it’s done, it will be so worth it.

So me and my friends are gonna spend new year’s eve eating, laughing, playing board games, watch some crappy television, mostly standup comedy shows made for new years eve, eat ‘oliebollen’ this is a Dutch treat we eat at new years eve and toast with champagne at 12 o’clock, then go outside and watch the fireworks. Basically a fun night.

One other thing, I’ve been thinking about reorganizing my blog for next year. Now I have one main page where everything get’s posted, but I was thinking about adding more pages so you can find the posts more easily. Like a different page for movies, TV series, books, doctor who, guest posts and random stuff. Don’t know if it’s gonna work but what do you guys think? Let me know by posting a reply.

And now, the YouTube vids, and I have some nice ones today:

We start off with two lovely Hobbit related videos. Max 60 seconds interviews with Martin Freeman and Richard Armitage:

Can I just say that Martin Freeman is really cute and funny and adorable in these videos. Sorry about the Hobbit spamming, but it’s all I have, since I’m still a bit bitter about not being able to see the Hobbit.

This one isn’t a YouTube video, but one from that guy with the glasses. They do the most awesome reviews ever made, watch Bum reviews:

The next video needs a bit of explaining. We have this huge fundraising in the Netherlands, where 3 radio DJ’s lock themselves in a glass house for 6 days, don’t eat, and make none stop radio for 6 days. You can request songs for money, go by the glass house and donate money right there, or do something ludicrous to raise money and donate it. There are so much people and organizations participating in this. And almost everyone in the Netherlands participates in this by raising money. (Including me, I donated 15 euro’s to get a song played on the radio, Take on Me, by A-HA) The money goes to the Red Cross for a project that doesn’t normally get a lot of attention. This year the money went to projects for pregnant woman and babies in 3rd world countries. We raised over 12 million euro’s this year. Most of the DJ’s get selected almost every year to do this, and this particular DJ, if he’s inside the house does this fun impersonation, singing along with Cliff Richards and the Young Ones, with the song living dolls. If you don’t want to listen to a lot of Dutch babbling, you can skip the vid till 2.45 min. enjoy:

BTW he got 15.000 euro’s for the Red Cross to do this parody thing. Yep, people donated money, just to see this.

Oh and just in case, this is the original video:

And now for a bit of Les Miserable spamming. This is one of the most emotional and beautiful songs from the musical Les Miserable, performed by the piano guys: Bring Him Home. It gives me the chills every time I listen to it.

And another review by the team from that guy with the glasses, this time by the nostalgia chick. She reviews Les Miserable, the musical, be warned, there is singing in it, also not a YouTube video:

And the last Les Mis review, the Nostalgia chick reviews the new movie:

As a proper Whovian I watched the new Christmas episode on Christmas day, wanna see what’s next for 2013? Here’s the American teaser trailer:

Hope you enjoyed today’s selection of videos

Love, your hot cute girly geek, Mendy.
